Meet Jocelyne.
Hello! Thanks for stopping by; since you are here I might as well tell you a bit about me.
I’m a poet, avid reader, and the author of the upcoming poetry book Love & Other Ordinary Certainties. I graduated from Principia College with a degree in Creative Writing and hope to someday shoot for a Masters in same.
I write poetry based mostly on my imagination — so everyone and everything is fodder — with a little sprinkle of my life experiences because I never go anywhere. Hence, nothing happens to me or around me. I typically write poems to help myself, to uncover and process my thoughts and emotions, but I publish them to help others heal and know they’re not alone. I believe poetry should be accessible and what better way than to directly address the condition of being human?
I plan to publish many poetry books, so once Love & Other Ordinary Certainties is published, I will be moving on to Horrible Women (working title), so subscribe to my newsletter for updates.
I currently live in St. Louis, MO and am kept warm by blankets and the hundreds of books I own. When I’m not writing poetry, you can find me reading a good book, watching TV — Cdramas, Kdramas, Thai dramas, Turkish dramas…—, or figuring out what good food I’ll eat. I dislike traveling but love exploring new places. No conundrums live here!
